That’s right, this festive season WordPress is spreading Christmas cheer by releasing WordPress 5.0 to the masses and there’s one thing that you will notice right away.<\/p>\n

For many WordPress users, Gutenberg is about as welcome as a Vegan around a Christmas table (sorry Vegans!).<\/p>\n
When you first try and create a new post or page after upgrading to WordPress 5.0, you will be hit straight away with the new page editor and your reaction will almost certainly be….<\/p>\n

This my friends, is Gutenberg. A block based page builder that now ships as the default page editor in WordPress and love it or hate it, it’s here to stay.<\/p>\n
But what if you really, really don’t like the new page editor, is there anything you can do?<\/p>\n
YES!<\/strong><\/p>\n For those of you that don’t like change (or new WYSIWYG page builders!) then fear not, you can go back to the classic WordPress page builder in just a few clicks by installing the “Classic Editor<\/a>” plugin.<\/p>\n To do this, log into your WordPress dashboard and click on Plugins > Add New.<\/p>\n In the search box at the top right of the page, enter the search term “Classic Editor” and you should see the following plugin come up in the search results:<\/p>\n Click on the “Install Now” button and in a few short seconds you will be able to breathe a big sigh of relief as your WordPress world returns to normal!<\/p>\n Christmas is a time for many things – presents, family, friends, food and…….a new WordPress page editor?
